I'm Bethany Plymale, a dedicated designer with a strong foundation in technical design and a passion for creativity. With an MFA in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology and a BS in Art Studio from Coastal Carolina University/SCAD, I blend artistic vision with practical skills to bring innovative concepts to life.

Over the past few years, I have developed a diverse skill set through roles at leading companies, including Basic Resources and Real Essentials, successfully designing for notable brands like Lucky Brand, Champion, Abercrombie, and Hollister. My experience encompasses a wide range of design responsibilities, from creating artwork for prints and trims to managing the entire lifecycle of products.

Thriving in collaborative environments, I work closely with production, sales, and sourcing teams while effectively communicating with factories to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. With a keen eye for trends in fabrics and silhouettes, I incorporate the latest styles into my designs. My technical expertise includes proficiency in PLM software, CAD design, CLO 3D/Browzwear, Development Specs, Grading, and Patternmaking, enabling me to produce comprehensive tech packs and streamline the product development process. Additionally, I have trained new designers, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation within my teams.

My background in fashion/technical design jobs, internships, and freelance projects has honed my skills in correct fit, technical specifications, and collection development, while my international experiences in sales and marketing have enriched my understanding of global fashion markets and luxury textiles.
